Vin Scully Terrible? Not To Me!

I don't agree with the comment below in the least, but maybe I've become an old codger.   I think Scully is the best out there...how about you?

Vin Scully is an absolutely terrible anouncer. He shows no emotion no matter the situation and speaks in long run-on sentences with no meaning constantly making mistakes and never caring to correct himself often not even paying attention to what is going on and people only care about him because he's been anouncing for 73 years and only care because of tradition which is the worst thing about baseball.

I'll join you in Old Codgerville. Tradition is the worst thing about baseball? What planet are these people on? It's the rich history and tradition of this sport that gives it so much damn meaning.

And I'm 20 for Christsakes.

NO NO NO NO NO!
Vin Scully is by far, the greatest announcer in the game today. A great baseball voice, a great knowledge of both teams and the game itself. Color man? Stats guy? Play-by-play guy? Yup. He is all of those. I am a transplanted Mets fan living in DC. I get my Mets baseball through MLB.TV. You get the home team's broadcast. I always look forward to the Mets games in LA because I get to hear Scully call a game.
I'll take Vin Scully over any other announcer in the game.

Wow. . .I am a fellow transplanted Mets fan in LA and have to mute the games they play against the Dodgers even though I pay for MLB Ticket because I can't stand his monotone voice and constant errors that he never correct. I can't believe you mentioned his knowledge of both teams. He's way too often incorrect with who's on base or who's at-bat or almost anything. I would listen to almost anybody else besides Harry Kalas, RIP, no disrespect. I'd even rather listen to Joe Morgan. . .at least his mistakes are comical. And tradition is what's wrong with Baseball and life in general. Why do we need to have to deal with Umpires making mistakes on obvious calls when we have the technology to get it right just because it's always been that way?
