A nice enjoyable 5-2 win last night with my favorite (current) Met on the mound, John Maine.

The Mets are claiming 46,106 attended this game. Try 15,000. I was there. I can't find any pictures of the empty mezz and uppers, but a friend was there and he had a camera. I'll try to get a reality check.

Heard around the uppers: people selling parts of their season plans, a discussion of "value" vs "bronze", escalator theories, and criticism of Willie's Pagan comments.

All teams in the major leagues count ticket sales towards attendance, not actual turnstile counts. The AL was doing this for years and then I think about 12-15 yrs ago the NL switched to that process as well.

Yeah, The Mets Police know this. I'm not talking boxscore. I'm talking about WFAN saying "in front of 46,000." No way.

If You're Visiting For The First Time

If you are visiting The Mets Police for the first time, welcome.

This blog aims to be a little different. We're less likely to complain about a pitching change than we are likely to complain about what the pitcher was wearing.

We're about Mets history and tradition. We'd like to see a Seaver statue at Citi Field. We'd like the black uniforms to go away. We'd like the team to always treat the fans with respect.

We're just regular old Mets fans like you who have migrated from the uppers to the Promenade where we were saddened when we found plexiglass. Finally, for all our complaining we just want the franchise to win the World Series (while nicely dressed).

The site is updated several times a day, usually morning, noon, and night (cliche but true) with other items as they come in.
