Hmmm. The Daily News headline is "David Wright: I didn't rip my mates" but I don't see what that headline has to do with anything in the article.

As for The Mets Police - good for Wright. It should bother them. Good job calling them on it. Don't back down Dave.

The article says: Speaking about his teammates, Wright told Mets.com after Wednesday's loss: "Losing like this, I hope, would ruin their nights."

The article's next line read: "He didn't appear to think that it had."

Wright told the Daily News Thursday: "I can't speak for anybody else. I take it pretty hard. I didn't say anything about anybody else. I take it hard, and I think other guys take it hard as well."

If You're Visiting For The First Time

If you are visiting The Mets Police for the first time, welcome.

This blog aims to be a little different. We're less likely to complain about a pitching change than we are likely to complain about what the pitcher was wearing.

We're about Mets history and tradition. We'd like to see a Seaver statue at Citi Field. We'd like the black uniforms to go away. We'd like the team to always treat the fans with respect.

We're just regular old Mets fans like you who have migrated from the uppers to the Promenade where we were saddened when we found plexiglass. Finally, for all our complaining we just want the franchise to win the World Series (while nicely dressed).

The site is updated several times a day, usually morning, noon, and night (cliche but true) with other items as they come in.
