Can'r believe the Sox had the stones to trade the pride of Washington Heights. Changes the dynamic of that club. Here's the thing though, Manny was going to be a mutt for the next 2 months for Boston because of the contract. If he goes apes--t in LA it doesn't mean he would have done the same there. The deal stipulated that if he waived the no trade the 2 option years go away. Now he is playing for his next deal over the next 2 months, that wouldn't have been the case in Baaaaahston.



Mets - no deals. They really don't have a lot of guys people want and I don't think they should trade the Martinez kid or the Giese guy who Mets Police is developing a man crush on. Players slip through waivers all the time (good - David Cone in '95 - bad - Canseco and Randy Myers for Yanks and Padres). You never know.
