Sometimes I feel like I'm spitting in the wind with this kind of post and taht I should just write about Joel Youngblood or Edgardo Alfonzo....but today's news has the teams asking for another $450 million in bonds to pay for these new stadiums.
Particularly annoying are the cost overruns in the Bronx related to rebuilding Macombs Dam Park. Why does it need to be rebuilt? Well Yankee Stadium III was built where the park was. As you know the Yankees were unable to compete in their crumbling ballpark that nobody liked and it was really important they move across the street to the north side of 161st street where there will be plenty of parking, highway access and mass-transit options.
