Pinstripes Again (For Putz)

I don't have a pic I can share yet but the Mets introduced J.J. Putz in pinstripes and a blue hat.

That's two days in a row we haven't been subjected to the black uniforms (although black shading remains).

Hopefully the pins will be the main uniform once again.

I was walking past the modells sporting goods store on W42nd in midtown yesterday and noticed that they were selling every "milkman white" and the all black Mets jerseys for 20 bucks. The nice ones too with the names stitched on the back. I would think this means its the end of the line for those two uni's.

Unfortunately they had an ad yesterday with the fellas in the "milkman" as you well put it. At least it's not black.

If You're Visiting For The First Time

If you are visiting The Mets Police for the first time, welcome.

This blog aims to be a little different. We're less likely to complain about a pitching change than we are likely to complain about what the pitcher was wearing.

We're about Mets history and tradition. We'd like to see a Seaver statue at Citi Field. We'd like the black uniforms to go away. We'd like the team to always treat the fans with respect.

We're just regular old Mets fans like you who have migrated from the uppers to the Promenade where we were saddened when we found plexiglass. Finally, for all our complaining we just want the franchise to win the World Series (while nicely dressed).

The site is updated several times a day, usually morning, noon, and night (cliche but true) with other items as they come in.
