Nightmare! Video from An Obstructed Seat at Citi Field

Man oh man is this awful.

New Stadium Insider has video from an obstructed seat at Citi Field.   They have VIDEO - don't take my word for it, watch the video.

Look for yourself, this isn't being whiny.  Try watching the game from this seat with a silver railing in the way, not to mention a vendor every 5 seconds.  I'd be over at fan relations in a second.

Awful!!!

This is not "obstructed view seating."  It's not a discount, it's not fair-warning.  it's just bad.

This is the first negative thing rolling in, this one is pretty bad.  I imagine there are plenty of seats with this problem.

Sorry to rain on an otherwise great day, but this is what the Mets Police is for.  Keep 'em honest.

(New Stadium Insider is in the early running blog of the year by the way, what a great effort getting streaming video rocking today)

This is completely true, I saw it many sections. DO NOT buy any seats in the first 3 rows of tiers 2 and 3. AVOID at all costs any seats behind the outfield walls especially in left field. From section 338 left field you are unable to see the left field warning track or wall. If you stay within the foul poles and from row 4 up you should be ok.

There are plenty of seats in rows 1 to 4 in prom that do not have a stairway problem. Do your research and you will be OK. I have section 521 row 2 and I purposely requested seats on the other side of the row where there is no stairs coming up. We need to get a list of what prom sections have the stairway problem and petition the mets to list and sell them as obstructed view. When I list the tickets I can not use on stubhub, I write nonobst in the row coloum, otherwise it's a gamble if you buy without knowing. Otherwise, the stadium is great, enjoy the season!

The Mets should be ashamed of themselves. It looks like the ballpark was build for the owner and not the fans. It seems like thousand of seats have view problems. It starts with limited views of left field and ends with barriers in your face in the first few rows of many sections. After going to Shea Stadium for 42 years I have a better view of the game watching it at home on TV. What a shame. The idea of going to the game is to SEE the field.
