Howie Rose Rips Black Mets Uniforms Again

Howie Rose had the following to say tonight about the Mets uniforms.  (I may have one word wrong but this is really close.)
"The Mets are wearing their snow whites tonight, with blue, hey how about that!  That after they lost three in a row in those black jerseys."   He said black the way a three year old says yuck when you make him eat spinach.
Keep it coming Howie.  If anyone else hears Howie rip the black please let us know.

(UPDATE - in the 6th, Gary Cohen and Keith Hernandez made some sly comments about the absence of pinstripes. )

From today's mailbag: "Mailbag: Black Mets Uniforms": 

I couldn't agree more--I HATE the black uniforms.
I'm also not too crazy about the snow whites either. And it's not that I'm one of those jerks who doesn't think anything new can be good, but the pinstripes are the Mets best uniform, no question. They also need to lose the black socks/sleeves and the 2-color batting helmet. Your team colors are blue and orange--wear them.

Awww, cmon guys, they're just going thru their fashionable black period. Sometimes you gotta experiment. Have you seen some of the other crap floating around the majors?

Leave the fashion statements to the Marlins. Wear your blue pinstripes at home, greys away, and put on your blue hates.

We're the New York Mets, blue and orange. Not the new Hugo Boss line.

PLEASE! For the love of all things good, kill the black already. I'm willing to compromise and allow the black on the road but they should only wear blue hats at home. Period.
