Inside The Acela Club

On our tour around the ballpark today, we were able to go inside the exclusive Acela Club located down the left field line.

It's a nice place....a very nice place.

Tables are tiered along five levels - four inside and one outside - offering full and clear views of the playing field for all patrons.

The menus looked good (they were not serving today but had menus posted). Yes, the price of brunch or dinner here is not for everyone ($41 for brunch, $48 for dinner) but the selection seemed decent.

I seriously doubt whether we will be dining there during the season - but if any of you think you might be, here are some pictures.

My husband and I recently ate at the Acela Club when we attended a Mets game. Views were nice, service was very annoying. Our waiter, named Yuri, was over-bearing, annoying, and pushy!! We were unable to enjoy our meal and scenery due to the annoyance of the nagging staff. Food was horrible. You are very limited, and very over priced... I would rather eat a Nathans hot dog for $7 then spend 82 on a crappy hamburger with raw french fries. Very upset with Citi Field Acela Club. SAVE UR MONEY AND TIME!!!! DONT GO.

We ate at the Acela club yesterday. Contrary to the previous poster, our service was excellent. We had a party of 4. The buffet was great, and we all ordered the cheeseburger, which was made to order and excellent. Garlic fries were to die for. Highly recommend visiting, even at $41 per person... it was well worth it for the experience.

We ate at the Acela Club last week, and were served by the very same waiter as the first poster. Yuri was extremely courteous and attentive to our every need -- and I was wearing a Phillies cap!

Some people are really hard on waiters/waitresses. They live and die by tips. Some people may find them annoying if they come by to often. Id rather be asked how everything is 100 times then have to look around and wait forever for a refill or an extra napkin

I had a wonderful meal there with my mother before the game and the staff and the food were excellent! I'm taking my wife on Sunday for the brunch and looking forward to it!

We ate the Acela Club last night, and we had excellent service! Our server, Jessica B., was one of the best servers we have ever had, EVER! She answered all of our questions, thoroughly. She also made excellent recomendations. We had prime rib, skirt steaks and crabcakes. The buffet was also delicious, although I would have liked to see some sort of seafood up there. Jessica B. went out of her way to go up to the buffet for us and bring back an assortment of appetizers so that we wouldn't have to travel up and down the stairs. I didn't see many- if any- of the other servers doing this. The view was excellent as well! I highly recomend the Acela Club, and do yourselves a favor and request Jessica B. as your server!

I recently had dinner at the Acela Club with my husband. I have never enjoyed a baseball game before in my life! Sitting at a table with a panoramic view of the field, a bottle of great wine, and some amazing food (the market tables have a TON of delicious food).. I had the pork, my husband had the burger. This was the most incredible experience I ever had at a baseball game. I will be coming back again... this was baseball in STYLE!

Can anyone with a ticket to the game get reservations at the Acela Club or do you need to hold tickets for certain premium seats?

I have been to the acela club 4 times and every time I had a different server. Now while the food was amazing as well as the view the servers were just as good if not better. In particular Raul B. He went above and beyond to meet our needs and expectations and gave us the time of our lives while we were there. If you have the chance to request a server make sure it is Raul B. I will be returning to the acela club soon

My husband and I went to the Acela club this weekend with our friends. It was AMAZING! This is how I prefer to do baseball! The view was fantastic-what a beautiful ball park. The food was just as good. The appetizer buffet in the beginning is a meal in itself. I had the Kobe beef as did my friends husband, it was great! The service was terrific. My friend even commented that this was the best service we have ever had-and we are not hicks from the country. We know good food and frequently go out in Manhattan. This is the way to do Citifield. WE will be returning next month. Worth every penny!

I've been a season ticket holder since 1995. My experience at the Acela Club was excellent and I have recommended it to family and friends. It's a great place to entertain business clients as well as eat there as a family. Yes, its expensive, but the food and view are well worth the price. Reservations well in advance is the way to go and ask for a window view. Enjoy.

Just ate at the Acela Club last night and it was a PHENOMENAL experience from beginning to end. Staff was very courteous and accomodating, food was excellent from our main meal (crabcakes and swordfish) to the buffet options right down to the orange and blue Mets cookies they give you at the end of the meal. We had a perfect seat right in the middle near the window.

Definitely not easy for everyone's wallets to do often but everyone should do this at least once for the experience.

How would anyone compare the Acela Club to the Diamond Club at Shea? Better or worse?

Does the Acela only offer buffet or do they also have a la carte options?

The Acela Club rox my sawx. Sick good service pplz. Hot hostesses. Food is sick. Great staff, great view of the game. Amazing place to go b4 or during the Met game, it makes it easier to watch them lose.

For crying our loud - who cares about yuri or the wait staff. How about some info about the food and options? Is it a buffet only for $48, or do you have to choose between the buffet or a main course? What is on buffet? how much choice? anything special? What is on main menu? I read some people got hamburgers - is this a main course for the $48? or can u get a steak or seafood or something a little more sophisticated instead for the $48? thanks.

I had dinner there last night... $48 is for a basic meal Add $10 dollars more each if you want a seat with a view of the field. Entre's are ordered off the menu. Appetizers, salad and sides are served Buffet style. I thought the food was very good though not amazing based upon my meal and that of the others in my party. Servers were nice and efficient. However, The peking duck served at the buffet part was amazing.

As for comparing the Acela Club with the Diamond Club, the Acelea club has a much nicer decor but I sadly prefer the former diamond club in terms of selection, food and value...

i was there Sunday (8/23), a gut-wrenching loss further precipitated by the unassisted triple play.
A fairly bright spot was the Acela Club.
We first thought to grab some food at Shake Shack but the line was too long, and we didn't want to miss first pitch. So, we went up to the Acela Club and were first seated on the 2nd tier from the window, where the rail somewhat blocks the view. Our waitress got us a table then right at the window! Market table was fine - though not exceptionally tasty: antipasta, roast beef, mussels. We ordered the crab cakes and cheeseburger. After some bites, the crab cakes became a bit too dry and "fishy," but overall good, not great. The cheeseburger and garlic fries were very good, per my friend, however I would've ordered it cooked medium rare rather than medium well as she did. The dessert was the best tasting part of the meal; we had the chocolate almond cake (if I recall correctly).

The service is excellent. The view and comfort are wonderful - and we stayed until the 7th inning and then moved to our field seats, which I think is a plan that works perfectly in this hot, humid weather.

Of note, our total bill at the Acela Club for two was $168. The atmosphere and comfort and view make up somewhat for the small lack in the taste of the food. I'd rate the Acela Club a B-.

My 2 experiences at the Acela Club has been excellent. The food and service was great. Nothing like pigging out like that at a game. Can't wait to get there again.
