On a day that meant nothing to the Yankees (well, other than several hundred-thousand in concession sales) and everything to these young men and women, you would think the Yanks could’ve found it in their hearts to let graduates have a bird’s-eye view of the ceremony that was being held in their very honor, right? Ha! Instead, many were forced back into sections 131 and 109, with nothing but the back of a white tent to view as Secretary of State Hillary Clinton delivered the Commencement address.

Hey was anyone at Citi Field yesterday - they are claiming near sellout, but on TV my crew remarked several times about "look how empty it is." What's the real story?

I took my son to yesterday afternoon's game at Citi Field. From our perspective in section 512, it was clear that there were tickets sold up to the last row of every section in the ballpark. Based on that, the game may well have been sold out, but when we got our tickets on Tuesday night on StubHub, there were still plenty of seats to be had. I'm sure that quite a few tickets went unused. That said, it was mostly full.

If you are visiting The Mets Police for the first time, welcome.

This blog aims to be a little different. We're less likely to complain about a pitching change than we are likely to complain about what the pitcher was wearing.

We're about Mets history and tradition. We'd like to see a Seaver statue at Citi Field. We'd like the black uniforms to go away. We'd like the team to always treat the fans with respect.

We're just regular old Mets fans like you who have migrated from the uppers to the Promenade where we were saddened when we found plexiglass. Finally, for all our complaining we just want the franchise to win the World Series (while nicely dressed).

The site is updated several times a day, usually morning, noon, and night (cliche but true) with other items as they come in.
