Register For New York Mets / Yankees Subway Series Tickets

FLUSHING, N.Y., May 30, 2009 - The New York Mets today announced the launch of an online registration for the opportunity to purchase tickets for the Subway Series June 26-28 at Citi Field. The registration for the online random drawing will run through Thursday, June 4.

All fans registering now on Mets.com or LosMets.com automatically will be eligible for the random drawing. There is no fee and no purchase necessary to register. There is a limit of one entry per person. In the case of multiple entries for the same individual, only one entry received will be entered. There is no assurance that any particular registrant will be selected. Opportunities to purchase tickets are non-transferable.
Registration for the drawing closes Thursday, June 4 at 11:59 p.m. A limited number of fans will be selected in the online random drawing and will be notified via e-mail by Tuesday, June 9 with instructions regarding the online purchase of up to four (4) tickets. Tickets start at $27 each and must be purchased with a major credit card. Per ticket and per order fees will apply.

Buyer beware - the Sunday game is now an 8:05pm pull-out-your-radio-because-it's-on-ESPN game. No announcement but I just noticed it on the schedule on mets.com while writing a post about the series.

the offering is or was a clear and fragrant way to sell plans and season's tickets, they were suggesting that the BEST way to be assured of tickets was to get in on a chunk of tix, otherwise, you're just in a lottery...

If You're Visiting For The First Time

If you are visiting The Mets Police for the first time, welcome.

This blog aims to be a little different. We're less likely to complain about a pitching change than we are likely to complain about what the pitcher was wearing.

We're about Mets history and tradition. We'd like to see a Seaver statue at Citi Field. We'd like the black uniforms to go away. We'd like the team to always treat the fans with respect.

We're just regular old Mets fans like you who have migrated from the uppers to the Promenade where we were saddened when we found plexiglass. Finally, for all our complaining we just want the franchise to win the World Series (while nicely dressed).

The site is updated several times a day, usually morning, noon, and night (cliche but true) with other items as they come in.
