Anyone Have Mercury Mets Stuff?

Uniwatch mentioned that Monday is the 10th anniversary of the awful
Turn Ahead The Clock promotion.

I'd like to do a piece about it since it is one of the dopiest things
in franchise history. Although it was league wide, the Yankees told
Mlb to jump in a lake, whereas the Mets announced they plan to move to
Mercury.

The good news about the Mets moving is that either the Dodgers will
come back to a stadium that suits them, or Nyc will get an expansion
team that won't have to spend much time erasing the Mets stuff from
the walls.

Right now I think the expansion New York Burros will win the Workd
Series before Mercury/New York does, and I bet the Burros will have
Old Timer's Day like the Mets did once.

I digress. If you have Mercury Mets pics or even old articles please

I was at that game. Never forget it, or Rickey Henderson's image on the Diamondvision. On the scoreboard, they posted news headlines from the future. I remember one of the headlines was that Octavio Dotel pitched a no-hitter in the year 2012 or something like that.

The greatest thing about that mercury Mets promotion was that Jason Isringhausen's name was too long to fit in the vertical style, so they shortened it to IZZY. That was one of Izzy's last games with the Mets, as he was traded at the deadline that year.

I remember Turn Ahead the Clock Night...at least we had better jerseys than the Pirates that night! Those were terrible.

I also remember Rickey "Three Eyes" Henderson on DiamondVision, along with Orel Hershiser wearing a Star Trek VISOR.

My dad still has the Mercury Mets jersey, on occasion wearing it with pride to games.
