Hey Jerry, Just Play Dan Murphy Every Day

This is not an original thought, and it is not the only place on the internet where you can read something like this today.   However, Jerry needs to play Dan Murphy every day.

We went into the season excited about Murphy.  Excited enough to the point that the Mets chose not to get an outfielder.

Now he's the first baseman (sometimes) and supposedly that was the plan for 2010.

Well, 2010 is here.

Hand him a first baseman's glove, tell him he is starting 6 days a week no matter what, and then let him play.   When he hits two doubles roll him out there the next day even if Sandy Koufax is playing.  Fernando Tatis is not the future.   I understand that Evans is hitting a little, but it isn't as if there is an abundance of heatly outfielders on this team.  Send him to left field.

And Omar, Tony whoever - don't try to fool us in the off-season with some first baseman trying to get us to buy tickets.  Just play Murphy.  Get pitchers.

Noooooooo...he is awful. They should send him to the minors and work on his game.
