Fans of the Mets Police know my take - sure why not sell off the old whirlpool, but things like the player banners might have been cool to keep around.
This also reminds me to bring up that I miss having the team flags (assorted by standings) atop the stadium. The Yankees are doing this at the new place and it looks nice.
