Mets Police Decade In Review: Front Row Leaners

I thought this would be a fun week to look back at some of my favorite articles since the blog began.  "Decade" is a stretch since this thing started in April of 2008 but hey why not....

Here's one of the first posts, from April 17, 2008 called "Front Row Leaners"

You're in the front row. You don't need to lean forward.
These are the same people that make everyone stand at concerts.

Did you give any thought to the possibility that the railing "obscured" his view of home plate, thus the need to lean?

we could go back and forth on front row leaners all day, but in the end, you can't tell me that the view of the field at Shea with this guy in front isn't better than the view from the upper deck at Citi Field with both people and structure in front of you.

But at least you could see the corners

I am not making this up - when they left we moved down to their seat just to see the deal, and you could see fine sitting normally. I was right behind them, eventually moved two seats over. Wasn't a big crowd.

Regardless, somehow a railing was less annoying than plexiglass.
