Marlins Stadium Update No. 900,000 square feet

If you sit through the ad there's some video of the new Marlins stadium.  If you don't sit through the ad you can just read the interesting article.

Marlins Stadium Update No. 900,000 square feet

The first commenter asked them this...uh oh.

Question - Is there any talk about a Metrorail stop being constructed at stadium? Civilized cities (NY, Boston, Chicago, DC) have trains going right to stadiums. Or is part of the financing for this making each of us pay $20 to park?

Should I Tell The Florida Marlins Fans The Bad News?

I feel a little bad for this blogger.   He seems stressed that the Marlins are using the same crews that built Citi Field.

Right now he's just stressed about the water in Seinfeld's box.   Should I tell him about the obstructed views?

Total cost of new Marlins stadium put at $2.4 billion - South Florida Sun-Sentinel.com

Total cost of new Marlins stadium put at $2.4 billion - South Florida Sun-Sentinel.com

The team is contributing $120 million toward construction, plus the repayment of a $35 million county loan. But the team doesn't have to pay until the final phases of construction.

If I lived in Miami/South Florida whoever, I'd be nuts over this.

Honestly $2.4 billion that will take 40 years to repay?  I'd rather my team move  than foot that kind of bill.

I think I read somewhere they will become the "Miami" Marlins when they move.  They should have been that all along.  Maybe they can be the Miami Marlins of Florida.
