I personally like Curly Shuffle because I'm from the 80s but I think we should all unite behind Meet the Mets lest we split the vote.

Therefore I officially endorse "Meet the Mets" which sounded great during the 8th yesterday.

All other choices would be idiotic.

Don't forget, this will become a tradition....so let's not mess this one up.  Other bloggers, do the right thing.


FLUSHING, N.Y., June 26, 2009 - The New York Mets today announced the launch of an online fan vote to pick the Mets Eighth Inning "Sing-A-Long" Song at Citi Field. Voting begins now on Mets.com.
WFAN's Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton assisted the Mets in compiling a list of songs by submitting their own selections.
Fans can log on to Mets.com to vote for one of the following:
Eighth Inning "Sing-A-Long" Song Nominees

• "Curly Shuffle"
• "Hooked on a Feeling"
• "I Like it Like That"
• "Mama Said Knock You Out"
• "Meet the Mets"
• "This Land is Your Land"
• "Twist & Shout"

I might just be dense, but I don't see anywhere to actyally vote.

Mets Blog says that the Mets have asked Boomer & Carton to suggest songs to replace Sweet Caroline.   I'm not sure I want Carton making the decision, but it once again shows that the Mets are paying attention (like with the uniform survey).   Is there a new person in the offices, or has the internet made it easier for you and I to be heard without waiting on hold for three hours only to have Mike Francesca hang up on us when we complain about the 8th inning song.

Read Matt's article over there.....he seems annoyed by the topic, but it's right up my alley.  Debate away as to what song you'd like.  I'm still pushing for Curly Shuffle.  Some of the suggestions are horrible. (Mama Said Knock You Out?  This Land Is Your Land?)

Another good job outta the Mets paying attention to the fanbase.
