Again, spend the money. This one looks even worse than the Santana in black, and you know how I hate black.

Mo Vaughn Gave His Life To The Mets

So the Hall of Fame ballot was announced yesterday and there are four players on the list that spent some time in a Mets uniform, 2 who were "real Mets"(Jesse Orosco & David Cone), and 2 who were rented players (Ricky Henderson & Mo Vaughn).
Now of course each team likes to promote their own players, be they deserving or not. So it came as no surprise yesterday when I saw an article on the Mets website doing just that. Except the title mentioned "A Trio of Mets" on the ballot, and who's picture is included - Mo Vaughn!
Mo had some good years - in Boston
He even had 2 ok years - in Anaheim
But the man played only 166 games with the Mets.
I love that the Mets seemingly want to embrace history - but come on, embrace your own history, not someone else's.

If You're Visiting For The First Time

If you are visiting The Mets Police for the first time, welcome.

This blog aims to be a little different. We're less likely to complain about a pitching change than we are likely to complain about what the pitcher was wearing.

We're about Mets history and tradition. We'd like to see a Seaver statue at Citi Field. We'd like the black uniforms to go away. We'd like the team to always treat the fans with respect.

We're just regular old Mets fans like you who have migrated from the uppers to the Promenade where we were saddened when we found plexiglass. Finally, for all our complaining we just want the franchise to win the World Series (while nicely dressed).

The site is updated several times a day, usually morning, noon, and night (cliche but true) with other items as they come in.

We strongly encourage everyone to support the New York Mets and their business partners, just don't wear a black jersey while doing so.
