Citi Field is probably a better place for a concert than Shea was, and definitely better than Giant's Stadium (because of size on both), but I did feel like my seats up in the Promenade were really far and that McCartney was tiny. The good news is that the plexiglass won't ruin your view of the show.
Note the diagonal empty section in the uppers and middle. I assume those would be obstructed by the sound towers, thus unsold. I don't mean that sarcastically, it's just I have no confirmation of that but it would make sense.
The sound was OK. Not awesome.
Might this be what the Promenade looks like in 2010 without ticket price cuts?
I was worried for these folks. I wonder if they were able to see the stage (which would be on their very left)
They had Beatles Rock Band going on the main level, left field corner.
They wouldn't let you go to left-centerfield (where the seats were blocked off). I assume this is because of the fireworks during (spoiler alert) Live and Let Die.
Maybe crowd control too.
Long lines at the ladies room.
That's a NY Giants hat! It looks a little blue in the picture, but it was a Giants cap. I wonder how he snuck that past Ebbetts Field Security.
Long line to buy McCartney merchandise. I have no issue with the line, but I was surprised people wanted a t-shirt that badly.
