Paul McCartney At Citi Field Reviews

I thought this review was pretty dead-on.

Centerfield Maz has a great Mets blog plus is a huge Beatles fan.  He said the show Friday was the best McCartney concert ever.

I thought it was fascinating to watch Sir Paul get choked up singing Here Today (a song about John Lennon) - I thought maybe I was imagining it, but then he addressed it on stage and said it had gotten to him.  Live and Let Die is the highlight, and as the first review mentioned, I did not know Black Bird was about a "young black girl" during the Civil Right's era.

If you scroll down, Maz writes about 1976's McCartney Tour.

Did Citi not enforce the silly umbrella rule (clearly prohibited), did celebrities get special treatment or did Jason Sudeikis from SNL sneak an umbrella in?  (By the way, the umbrella rule is not as silly as Yankee Stadium's absolutely absurd no-bag rule.)

"Saturday Night Live" star (Jason) Sudeikis gave up his umbrella to a woman and her mother in the next row and reveled in the raindrops, hoping Sir Paul would perform "Maybe I'm Amazed."

Great show, worth catching Tuesday.
